WHICH ROOF SUITS YOUR NEEDS?
There are three main types of roofing when it comes to garden sheds;
A gable roof garden shed peaks in the middle, it is the most attractive looking and is used for a large range of garden shed sizes. The peak (gable) in the middle of the roof adds strength to the sheds roof making it the most popular garden shed.
A skillion roof garden shed slopes to one side, they either slope to the front or rear of the garden shed. Just like flat roof garden sheds, the skillion is generally used for smaller and narrower type sheds. Skillion roof garden sheds are used in spaces where height may be restricted on one side, because of the sloped roof, it can be easier to fit into more awkward spaces.
A flat roof garden shed has a flat roof, the flat roof is only used on smaller and narrower garden sheds because there isn't a great deal of structural strength in them. Flat roof garden sheds are great when storage is required but space is limited. Flat roof garden sheds are generally shorter in height also making them great for areas which don't have a large amount of head space.
